Goals 2004 Survey

In December 2003, AIfIA conducted a survey to better understand our members' goals, priorities, and concerns. Members were asked to indicate the importance of a variety of public and members-only initiatives.

As the following chart demonstrates, the majority of our members value Building the Practice (sharing tools, research, and best practices) over Explain the Value (explain importance of IA to business, government, education, professional groups, etc.) and Focus on Members (further develop members-only services and benefits).

The attached Goals 2004 Survey Results (PDF) presents the complete results (112 responses) including lists of initiatives in priority order. AIfIA’s board of directors and board of advisors will consider these results carefully as we define our strategy and goals for 2004. Thanks to everyone who participated!

January 9, 2004: The AIfIA Goals 2004 statement is now available.
